The current Executive Branch is enjoying an unprecedented approval rate from the public, despite occasional protests, and it seems as though the coalition making up our current government intend to stick together. The San Andreas Lighthouse Party is the state’s newest political party, founded by Governor Jeremy Barbant, Lt. Governor Wyatt McKenzie, Secretary of State Winifred Baker, and Chief of Staff Jax “JJ” Hendrix. James Hill, the current Secretary of the Legislature, is also aligned with the party.

The announcement pledges that this party will be honest, accountable, and stable. This announcement does not count as campaigning for the next regular election, but certainly foreshadows the current Executive Branch’s plans going into February 3rd.

Stability may be a particularly alluring promise to the people of San Andreas right now. The last political party in the state was the Feline Party, which ended up collapsing after the disastrous tenure of Governor Ella Bright-Starr. The Lighthouse Party’s official site includes activity statistics for public perusal, as well as an archive of all past press releases.

The upcoming election will be an interesting one, with such a strong incoming candidate for the Executive Branch. We will also see a change in the Representative race. Due to federal population districting, the state is moving from five Congress seats down to three.
