Los Santos Police Department announces termination and criminal charges for officer involved in shooting incident

On September 2nd 2024, LSPD officer Estella Montgomery was arrested, and following a thorough Internal Affairs investigation, Montgomery was charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder due to her involvement in a shooting that took place off of Route 68 on August 6th at approximately 10:30pm EST. That case has now been resolved, with the resolution clear to the public.

According to the investigation, Officer Montgomery discharged her shotgun, a class two weapon, at an unarmed individual during a police encounter with two members of the public, resulting in serious injury to one individual. The Los Santos Police Department’s Internal Affairs department conducted an investigation of the incident. Initially, Officer Montgomery was suspended pending the conclusion of the investigation. Ultimately, it was determined and concluded that Officer Estella Montgomery acted outside of the procedures and standards of the Los Santos Police Department, and she was fired from the force.
