The San Andreas Fire and Rescue Department (SAFR) will be officially opening job applications today August 23rd 2024 starting at 2pm EST and ending on September 6th 2024 at 2pm EST.
Below are the different type of roles that SAFR offers:
- Fire: Our fire department operates a fleet of MTL Fire Engines, used in a variety of situations, including (but not limited to) Structure fires, Motor Vehicle Accidents, technical rescues, and more! All firefighters gain their EMT certificate.
- Medical EMT/Paramedic: Our EMTs handle a wide range of calls, from patients with wounds to burns and animal attacks. We see it all. Operate a wide fleet of vehicles (Such as the VAPID Sandstorm, Express Medical Van, and Rumpo Ambulance)
- Marine: Patrol the Vespucci Beach coastline on Lifeguard duty, respond to calls in lakes and oceans alongside our counterparts with the Coastguard (SA Parks Department).
- Aviation: Explore San Andreas from new heights, transporting flight medics to difficult-to-reach areas and aid in the transport of medics and patients to area hospitals.
Flight Medics: FAST rope (rappel) out into difficult-to-reach calls, giving our patients care quickly on mountainsides and other hard-to-reach places. - Critical Care Paramedic: Learn how to handle some of the most critically ill or injured cases we see, often involving complex procedures, medications, and equipment typically found in intensive care units.
