Sitting Governor Ella Bright-Starr was arrested on July 3, charged with two instances of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and uttering threats. Governor Bright-Starr has pled Not Guilty, and will be represented by Elisha Wesler of Bright-Starr and Associates.
Governor Bright-Starr will be released on bail of $6400, and must not contact any witnesses involved in the case with the exception of one witness with whom she shares a residence. Shout News has learned that the charges stem from an incident at the Governor’s residential home. During the bail hearing, Wesler argued that Governor Bright-Starr has been targeted by several criminal groups, including the Whisperers, and as such she is under threat.
