In developing news, the legislature has announced that the next regular election will occur on May 26th and end on June 2nd.

H.R. 335, which was submitted at four in the morning, indicates the current timeline for the next general election.

  • Registrations begin on the 12th of May at 8pm ET, concluding on the 19th at 8pm
  • Campaigning also commences on the 12th of May at 8pm
  • Campaigning concludes and Voting open on the Sunday the 26th of May at 8pm ET.
  • Voting concludes and the vote tally begins on Sunday the 2nd of June at 8pm ET.

This is the first time the registration period will also have campaigning permitted. Typically campaigning only begins when the registrations close and the Secretary of State has confirmed the candidates. This will also be the longest voting period, with a whole week for the state to cast their ballot.

This election comes at a time of serious distrust in the San Andreas government, with both Governor Keys approval, and legislative satisfaction completely in the gutter. Its not clear if any of the current representatives will re-run for election. Governor Key will serve two full terms and is ineligible to run as governor again.

The resolution has not been approved by the legislature, meaning the above dates could change or be slightly shifted. Stay with Shout News for the latest political coverage.
