I’ve been trying to navigate the social scene in Los Santos, but it feels like a maze with no exit. Any tips on making genuine connections in this city?

It can be incredibly daunting to move to a new town or city where you don’t know anyone. I imagine at times you don’t know where to start, especially with San Andreas being a very large state filled with so many people from different walks of life. That being said, there are many ways to get out there and meet new people! There are often events taking place around the state – concerts, festivals, car shows, dice nights etc. All are great places to meet new faces! If you’re someone who’s still job-hunting, finding a position that allows you a lot of face-time with your customers is also a good thing! I’ve met so many people through Remingtons that I probably otherwise would not have crossed paths with, and it’s definitely one of the best parts of my job! There is also the option of having a professional help introduce you to some people with similar interests and lifestyles. Tumble Matchmaking doesn’t just offer romantic connections; they also assist with helping people connect as friends! With how fast our city moves, it can feel overwhelming and impossible to make solid connections with people. But move with them – attend events, visit as many establishments as you can, and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there! You’ve got this, and everyone will be lucky to get to know you

I have a problem, some might call it an addiction. It has cost me friendships, money and not only almost my career but almost my freedom as well. I know I need to stop but I just can’t, it makes me feel so good and satisfied when I get it. My life revolves around it, I wake up thinking how I can get more. At times it seems to speak to me, whispering sweet nothings into my ear and egging me on to not stopping and getting more and more. How can I stop obsessing and buying penguins?

I’ve been staring at this question for more time than I’d like to admit because I genuinely am unsure if you are talking about penguin plushies, dolls, figurines etc. or if you are talking about live birds. If the former, that’s slightly relieving but also something you can work towards slowing down. If you start feeling like you’ve lost control over your compulsions and it is negatively affecting your life, then it’s time to take a serious step back and re-evaluate. What steps could you take to avoid running into penguin items to purchase? Are there people in your life who can hold you accountable? You’ve mentioned that this obsession with penguins has cost you friendships, money and almost your career – if the pattern continues, you may find yourself unemployed and unable to afford maintaining your addiction, so it’s imperative to get a handle on this sooner than later. There are plenty of qualified therapists or psychiatrists that can sit down with you and help you discover not only what causes this compulsion but also the steps to take to help break you out of its chains. Asking loved ones to help keep you in check is also a good idea. If it’s the latter…please don’t steal live birds. I’m not a lawyer but it has to be illegal to own a penguin, not to mention potentially dangerous for the safety and life of the penguin, given that Los Santos is a hot climate, and penguins can only thrive in their natural habitat or a conservation/rescue facility that provides an environment for them to live in. I wish you the best as you navigate this addiction.
