For most brides, their wedding day is the happiest moment for their life. For Darcy Sheppard and her groom, Calvin Shoey, something terrible interrupted that bliss. Sheppard went missing on March 15, 20 minutes before she was set to be married. Friends and family did not believe cold feet was a factor; she was excited for the ceremony. But when she stopped with her bridesmaid at a salon on Haywick, Sheppard stepped away for a breath of fresh air. This was the last time she was seen by her friends and family.

Shortly after, her bridesmaids and maid of honor found Sheppard’s necklace left outside the salon, and tire tracks left behind from an unknown vehicle. Since then, Shoey and Sheppard’s loved ones have been searching for her and hoping for her safe return. You may have seen posters with Darcy’s face and information posted around San Andreas — but unfortunately, she has yet to return home. Those close to her are puzzled; Sheppard has no known enemies or associations that would lead to these events.

On March 22, a wedding dress with a bullet hole and blood stains was found at the French Laundry, where the wedding ceremony was set to be held. Despite this concerning campaign from Sheppard’s abductors, those close to her hold out hope that she will be found and returned home.
