The Governor’s office has issued a press release regarding the State Attorney Anthony Lankowski. This is another resignation in the state government, following Secretary of State Link Jordins, Lieutenant Governor Gracie McCoy, and State Representative Artemis Blackthorne.
Rockford Hills (City Hall) – State Attorney Anthony Lankowski officially resigned his position as State Attorney with the State of San Andreas as of February 26, 2024. Starting as Acting State Attorney back on September 9th, 2023 after at-the-time State Attorney Liam McGrath stepped down, Mr. Lankowski has worked hard and diligently to put the Department of Justice in the place it is today. I am grateful to have had the chance to get to know and work with him. I wish him the best in his future endeavors and thank him for his service during his 170 day tenure.
With the resignation, Mr. Lankowski has assigned Jessica Ashbrook as the Acting State Attorney for the Department of Justice as we work toward finding a new nomination for the role in the next coming weeks.
That said, we are open to letters of interest for those who are interested in stepping into the role officially. Please send any and all letters of interest to my email.
Bear with us as we process through the letters and subsequent interviews for the position. We aim to pick the best candidate who can take the reigns for the DOJ and lead the department into a more prosperous future. Thank each and everyone of you for your continued support as I work to maintain my promises to the citizens of San Andreas.
While the Executive Branch looks into finding a new State Attorney for the position, they will also have to contend with the recent nay vote from the legislature on Michael Andino, Key’s first pick for Secretary of State, amid the chaos of a Special Election. Shout News will continue to update the public throughout this hectic campaign period.
