Governor Barbant has secured a second term by default, with the other registered candidate failing to qualify to campaign.
This means there will be no election for the role of Governor, and Governor Barbant will continue in their duties.
So now the states attention falls to the largest popularity contest, the campaigning and election of three representatives.
Five candidates have put themselves into the ring, and with only three seats, two will be eliminated.
Returning is current Representative James Hill, who won in the special election filling a vacancy. If Representative Hill wins this round, this will be their first formal term as representative.
Joining Representative Hill in the election is four additional candidates:
- John Corranado, an attorney and founder of the Black Hawk Coffee Company.
- Raphael Messi, former State Public Defender, lawyer and human services employee.
- Amara Fox-Vazquez, who we understand is a detective with the Major Crimes Division; and
- Chuck Spadina, who we actually couldn’t find any public information on… so stay tuned?
With only two weeks until election day… Who will San Andreas Decide? Will we find out information about all the Candidates? Stay tuned to find out more.
