Head Ranger Charlie Morgan has responded after comments were made against election candidate Chuck Spadina at this weeks fiery candidates debate.
The comments were made by Deputy Head Groundskeeper Morticia Benitez-Rhodes, after the employee attended the debate, asking the candidate a number of questions about gang-owned businesses.

@MorbinMorti
Anyone with sense wouldn’t vote for you i think you did more dmg coming to the debates then the folks who just didnt show honestly good luck dawg but i aint voting for nor anyone else in SAPD and i can say the K9s do not approve of you
In a statement, Ranger Morgan said,
While every individual within the department is entitled to their personal beliefs and political inclinations, no one is authorised to speak on behalf of the department, or its members, regarding political endorsements or preferences.
I am disappointed that the comments made were done so on behalf of others and we have taken immediate steps to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.
Charlie Morgan, Head Ranger, Parks Department
Ranger Morgan went onto elaborate that the department is committed to maintaining strict neutrality in all political matters, despite ‘inflammatory comments’ made by Chuck Spadina on the debate stage.
Deputy Head Ranger Vivian Chopper also added that K9 Units cannot hold opinions on political matters.
Our K9s are highly trained working animals who serve in law enforcement, search and rescue, public safety, and outreach. They do not, and cannot, hold opinions on political matters.
Vivian Chopper, Deputy Head Ranger, Parks Department
Speaking with Shout News, Ms Benitez-Rhodes responded.
Overall I stand by all my statements, however I do not speak for all the of SAPD while i do think many of my colleagues agreed with me looking back on things its not really my place to speak for everyone and i may have gotten a bit lost in the moment of political fervor.
However i will always stand up and fight for what is right I truly think I did not only the business community and SAPD proud but myself I wouldn’t have felt right letting someone up there shoot off false hoods and just plain wrong information about both the SAPD and the businesses of the city.
We need strong leadership from our state reps people who understand the state, the people in it, and everything people do to keep things running smoothly, we need leaders who will work with the people rather than fighting against us at every step please vote people and please get informed.
Morticia Benitez-Rhodes
Chuck Spadina also accused the Parks department of damaging the wildlife as they were keeping watch over the event for the sake of security.
In reply, the parks department affirmed their training practices, designed to ‘minimize’ environmental impacts.
Every member of the San Andreas Parks Department undergoes rigorous driver training to ensure safe and environmentally responsible navigation within our jurisdiction.
This training is designed to minimise the environmental impact of our activities. Whether on foot or utilising one of the various vehicles at our disposal, SAPD staff remain committed to employing the most effective and sustainable methods to achieve our goals.
Charlie Morgan, Head Ranger, Parks Department
In reply to the Parks Department, Candidate Spadina had this to say to Shout News.
Despite the hullabuloo at the debates regarding broad statements from members of the department, I hold no ill will to the department as a whole, and respect the work they do ensuring the ecological balance of Los Santos is kept in check.
My offer of a mechanised exoskeleton still stands.
Chuck Spadina (Ind.)
