State Representative Damien Flippington has suddenly resigned from his position.
In a statement, the representative said.
My moral compass wouldn’t allow me to collect money from the taxpayers for a job that I’m not qualified to do.
Mr Flippington was elected in the last general election in the first round of votes.
The timeline for a special election is currently clear.
Full Statement:
I regret to announce my resignation effective immediately from my role as State Representative from the 11th Congress.
When I took the role, I made it my mission to create a system for union creation and recognition, cap marijuana fines, and improve the relationship between the citizens of San Andreas and Law Enforcement. After a long self-reflection, I’ve concluded that I’m not the man who can make those changes and that the state deserves someone who can.
My Moral compass wouldn’t allow me to collect money from the taxpayers for a job that I’m not qualified to do and that I wouldn’t be able to contribute meaningfully to the role. I’ve been critical of politicians in the past who I think haven’t contributed to society and are only collecting their paycheck I cannot be that person I refuse to be that person.
