The Governor and Legislature
Governor Barbant’s approval remains sky high, with 82% of this week’s respondents saying they approve of the Governor. This unmatched approval stands in stark contrast to the Legislature and other elements of the Government.
Legislative approval has dipped, decreasing to 32.1% in the wake of announcement of the “State Your Reason” Act. The bill has sparked a lot of debate, and according to some responses we received from the participants in this poll, they are genuinely concerned about the reported risk of the bill.
Regardless of this, overall satisfaction in the institutions barely decreased.

The New State Flag
The new state flag has been chosen, with 31.3% of voters choosing Option 4. However, in the wake of the final tally there has been a lot of chatter about the flag, the voting process, and concern that the flag doesn’t represent what a majority of voters wanted.
68.7% voted against Option 4. That’s more then two-thirds of voters, voting against the winning option. When asked in this weeks poll, 50% expressed that they were unhappy with the new flag and only 35.7% were happy with the winning choice.
