Governor Barbant and the Executive Branch have been productive during their time in office, handling everything from the commission of a new state flag to appointing new positions in the state government. The most recent of these nominations is Doc Hillard for State Attorney, the position that heads up the Department of Justice. Hillard will be stepping down from his position in the Judiciary in order to take the position, pending approval from the Legislature.
In a press release issued to Shout News, Governor Barbant wrote: “This is a significant position with a large impact on the State and the citizens protected under it and as such we have put a large amount of review and pressure on this nomination. […] We have supreme confidence in Mr. Hilliard and are looking forward to what the future will bring.”
Mr. Hilliard will have his work cut out for him; the Department of Justice currently has a disapproval rate of over 50% with the citizens of San Andreas according to recent Politipolls, with only 18% of the population expressing satisfaction with the Department.
Shout News will continue to cover the 11th Congress, which is currently undergoing a special election after the death of Representative Kieran Graveshaw.
