At least six shooters had barricaded themselves at the Venetian Hotel on Vespucci Beach.
Its currently unclear how many are people in total were injured however Shout News was able to see a number of officers and downed gunmen taken way by an Air Ambulance, and others taken away other ambulances.
The siege began around 9pm on Friday Evening, with police taking covered positions around buildings as the shooters opened fire.
Shout News understands the siege started after the assailants robbed the Mirage Art Gallery in Vinewood. A Pursuit lead them to Vespucci Beach, and a standoff started with police.
Police surrounded, and police helicopters orbited the building while gunfire was exchanged between the shooters and law enforcement. A number of officers were shot at from their various positions.
From the Shout News vantage point it looked like the assailants were also shooting at the Sheriffs Helicopter orbiting.
After 20 minutes of shooting, police pushed in with multiple vehicles. Reportedly while the assailants were attempting to make an escape from the roof.
An army of medics and an Air Ambulance arrived after the shooting at stopped, transporting at least eight in total. Pillbox Medical was placed into bypass due to the volume of injured people being treated.
A lot of citizens stood a the police barricades, watching as the situation unfolded. Including a number of business owners in the area who wanted to see what the commotion was.
