Newly sworn in Secretary of State Jacob Wheeler has released a lengthy statement to the press regarding the Executive Branch and the current state of the government. The press release offers clarity on why certain measures have not been taken, what paths will prove impossible for the Executive Branch to pursue, and what the next steps are for our state government.
As Secretary of State Wheeler put it regarding the performance of the Feline Party, “the cats have gone astray – absconded with their paychecks and in the process absolutely robbed the public of what little trust we had left in our elected officials and procedures of Government.”
(Editorial disclosure: Becks Lawson and Jacob Wheeler served together during two previous Administrations; most recently, both were State Representatives in the Eighth Congress
Wheeler proceeded to apologize for the current state of affairs, going on to explain several points of feedback from the most recent PolitPoll. These points can be summed up as such:
Addressing crime via legislation is a difficult problem; “the solution lies somewhere in the middle.” Secretary of State Wheeler states he will “aim to find compromises and solutions that may serve to appeal to both sides of the aisle.” He also notes that the Judiciary is overwhelmed, and as a proponent of small government, he will work to monitor the overreach of government via initiatives like the driver license point system.
Wheeler also spoke decisively on the police affairs debate, sharing that he will share further plans to promote “a proper, more transparent dialogue” via means that are currently undisclosed. “I will speak on this more directly once I have had the opportunity to meet with the various law enforcement department heads to discuss.”
Perhaps most valuably, Wheeler shared insider information from his position on Dynasty Realty, as well as his past experience in government (including the Executive Branch) to speak out on issues that will not see any movement under any administration, including the “housing market crisis” (which he defines as “simply false”), the existence of wills, and the decriminalization of mushrooms.
Secretary of State Wheeler will be hosting a Secretary Smoke Out event on Thursday, August 15, starting at 8PM ET on the front lawn of City Hall. Attendees will get a free goodie bag full of cannabis products from Ganja Grove dispensary.
“On the topic of cannabis – I am personally a huge supporter of the legal cannabis industry – and am a recreational cannabis user myself. So in an effort to make Government more accessible I am holding the First Secretary Smoke Out this Thursday – August 15th 8-9PM on the front lawn of City Hall. Bring down your ID, get a FREE goodie bag full of cannabis products on behalf of the Secretary of State and provided by Ganja Grove dispensary,” writes Wheeler
“I will be on-site hoping to provide the citizens of San Andreas a ‘grassroots’ and low key atmosphere to engage directly with their Government and communicate their concerns directly,” he adds. “It’s the only way things will truly change.”

The Executive branch seems to be recovering since the appointment of Quinn Lillegard-Marino as the new Governor, and the assignment of key staff — like the Secretary of State — shows further progress towards a stable state government.
