A cloesly watched court case has ended in a guilty plea, with Dominic Luca, who murdered Senior Officer Miko Shepherd, sentenced to Life imprisonment with the possibility of Parole after 30 years.
A plea deal was struck with the Department of Justice changing the first degree murder charge to aggravated second degree charge.
According to the Police statement of facts. A group of people kidnapped Senior Officer Miko Shepherd and took him in a purple Massacro. Police had responded to the panic call and a pursuit ensued. Multiple officers followed the vehicle until they lost sight of it in the Palomino Highlands.
Officer Shepherd was taken to a location in the Grand Senora Desert to have “a conversation” with Dominic Luca. At some point during this conversation Dominic shot the officer with a Shotgun.
Miko Shepherd was transported to Sandy Shores Medical, however they had succumb to their injuries and were pronounced dead.
No motive was ascertained from the interrogation with the police, however Dominic Luca did provide certain hints about his motivation in murdering Miko Shepherd.
