Bolingbroke inmate serving life sentence escapes custody

Shout News has been able to confirm the escape of an inmate from Bolingbroke State Penitentiary. Shout News first received an anonymous tip from the public, and the Department of Corrections has since issued a press release that shared more details on the breakout. The breakout happened on June 17, freeing Mercy Kandinsky after a parole hearing at the Innocence Courthouse. Kandinsky was being held on a life sentence that resulted from kidnapping and an aggravated charge of second degree murder.

The press release from the Department of Corrections shares more information on the circumstances of Kandinsky’s escape.

LOS SANTOS, SA, 06/19/24 – On June 17th, 2024 at 6:30 PM EST, correctional officers from the Department of Corrections conducted a prisoner transport from Innocence Courthouse to Bolingbroke State Penitentiary following Mercy Kandinsky’s Parole Hearing. 

Correctional Officers were transporting Mercy Kandinsky back to Bolingbroke when they reached the offramp to Sandy Shores they were met by a vehicle blocking the exit, and was shortly after surrounded by multiple vehicles. Mercy Kandinsky was broken out of the transport at this moment of time. 

Due to this being an active investigation we will not comment on the matter any further, any information in regards to Mercy Kandinsky’s whereabouts can be reported to the Police Department. 

Shout News requested an image of Mercy Kandinsky to share with the public; the Department of Corrections did not have one to share at the time of publishing. She is a young Caucasian woman, nineteen years old, with brunette hair with red tones. In recent dockets, Kandinsky claimed that her time in prison had rehabilitated her, and she did not pose a threat to society. The prosecution protested, alleging that Kandinsky remained a threat to anyone who hurt her family.
