The Department of Human Services and Dynasty realty have partnered in a new initiative called the Affordable Housing Project. The project is meant to combat the high cost of living in San Andreas, with many citizens forced to pay rent month-to-month in an apartment, or share lodgings with roommates. The Affordable Housing Project currently has six affordable housing units, and they are aiming to expand that number.
The homes are one bedroom studios in the South Side, and participants in the program will have to pay the monthly property taxes collected by the state. The studios are also unfurnished, which gives the occupant room to decorate — however, they will need to cover those costs. The housing unitsw also have access to a public parking lot and personal mailboxes. Qualifying citizens must have less than one million dollars in assets, have no felony convictions in the past 30 days, and have lived in the state for at least 30 days.
“[The Affordable Housing Project] gives people who have never had a chance to buy a home a shot, and it brings more life to the southside,” said Collector, an employee with DHS, to Shout News.
