I am back from my vacation, feeling refreshed and relaxed.  Did I miss anything exciting?  Here are some of the things planned for this week.  Look over them while I catch up on all the work that piled up while I was away!

Hawkins Hideout Presents: Celtic Night!

Monday March 18 10:00pm-12:00am EST

Join the folks at Hawkins Hideout for another “Metal Monday.” They are having a “Celtic Night”, which is the perfect way to end a nice Saint Patrick’s Day weekend.  Be ready for a circle pit, but leave your weapons at home or in your car.

Black Lotus Motorcycle Club v. Los Santos Police Department

Tuesday March 19 9:00pm EST

Black Lotus Motorcycle Club were struck during their weekly public ride by a cadet going roughly 100+ mph.  Some of the details are not lining up, so if you are one that likes seeing police accountability, this might be one to come check out.  Make sure not to bring any weapons, radios, containers (such as lunch boxes), etc.  Learn about the case here.

Barry Hill Fan Club Meeting

Wednesday March 20 4:00pm EST

I saw this listed as an event and had to know what the heck it was, so I reached out to someone who posted on Y about it.  Turns out, they are the founder, Morgan Reed!  Here is how they explained it to me:

So what started as a joke between myself and my lovely friend Mae, now turning into a huge movement! We are huge fans of Barry Hill and the troopers as well. We can often be found in Barry Hill cosplay helping out when the police are busy! Responding to calls of cats stuck in trees, crashed down jets in peoples front yards and more. We’re also huge enthusiasts of spreading joy and happiness. This meeting is the first public meeting of the fan club and we’re hoping to get some more numbers too! If we can raise some funds, we’re hoping to fund some future meetings. Also donate some money to DHS! There will be food provided by Ari’s and hopefully ArCola as well!

Apparently, there will be a Barry Hill cosplay contest and the winner gets a cash prize!  This sounds like it will be a fun, light-hearted event and I hope there are some good cosplay entries.

Vespucci Beach Block Party

Friday March 22 3:00-4:30pm EST

This is a fun little party that really spotlights the businesses down on and near Vespucci Beach.  There will be so many vendors that I am happy to check out, like What’s Poppin’ and Sugar Snout.  Food, drinks, and music available.  The party will be behind the BMX rental on the beach.

Wonka Rave

Saturday March 23 8:00pm-2:00am EST

Happening at the Galileo Observatory, this Wonka Rave is sure to be a hit.  I personally have been out of town so I don’t know much about it.  In the words of Mr. Wonka himself, “There’s no earthly way of knowing, which direction we are going.  There no knowing where we’re rowing or which way the river’s flowing.”  There will be live music, vendors, food, and maybe even candy.  $500 entry fee.
