City Hall, Rockford Hills — In developing news, The Governors office has confirmed that Lieutenant Governor Gracie McCoy has resigned from the Key Administration, leaving the position vacant.
In a Statement, the Governors office said,
Lieutenant Governor Gracie McCoy has chosen to resign from her position as Lieutenant Governor with the State of San Andreas. Though I am deeply sad to see her go, I know she will be a shining light in whatever endeavor she chooses to pursue, and I wish her the best in everything going forward. I will truly miss her and our conversations.

This is the third resignation in the 9th Congress, starting with the resignation of the Secretary of State Link Jordans, and the stepping down of the Legislative Secretary.
The statement also mentions that the position is vacant and a replacement hasn’t been selected at this time. All nominees for a vacant Lieutenant Governor position have to be appointed by the governor, and then confirmed by a majority of the legislature.
