{"id":3435,"date":"2024-12-15T21:10:30","date_gmt":"2024-12-16T02:10:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shout.newdayrp.com\/?p=3435"},"modified":"2024-12-20T22:23:43","modified_gmt":"2024-12-21T03:23:43","slug":"representative-damien-flippington-resigns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shout.newdayrp.com\/index.php\/2024\/12\/representative-damien-flippington-resigns\/","title":{"rendered":"Representative Damien Flippington Resigns"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>State Representative Damien Flippington has suddenly resigned from his position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement, the representative said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>My moral compass wouldn&#8217;t allow me to collect money from the taxpayers for a job that I&#8217;m not qualified to do.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Flippington was elected in the last general election in the first round of votes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The timeline for a special election is currently clear.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Full Statement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>I regret to announce my resignation effective immediately from my role as State Representative from the 11th Congress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I took the role, I made it my mission to create a system for union creation and recognition, cap marijuana fines, and improve the relationship between the citizens of San Andreas and Law Enforcement. After a long self-reflection, I&#8217;ve concluded that I\u2019m not the man who can make those changes and that the state deserves someone who can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My Moral compass wouldn&#8217;t allow me to collect money from the taxpayers for a job that I\u2019m not qualified to do and that I wouldn\u2019t be able to contribute meaningfully to the role.
