San Andreas has a new state holiday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

D\u00eda de Los Muertos, which occurs on November the 1st has been declared a state holiday by Governor Barbant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This November 1st will be the first offical time D\u00eda de Los Muertos will be celebrated as a State Holiday! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The States hispanic roots run deep within San Andreas, and I am honored to sign in into law!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

D\u00eda de Los Muertos or Day of the Dead has an origin in Hispanic and Latin America. Often expressed as a day, or sometimes a week of prayer and remembrance for friends and family members who have passed into the afterlife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The history of the holiday is disputed, with some evidence supporting an exclusive historical ties to the ancient Aztec-Columbian civilizations in Central America. While others draw from the christian ties to Allhallowtide which occurs on the 31st of October and the 1st of November respectively, making the holiday a mixture of spanish-christian influence, and historic native observances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This observance was also explored in the critically acclaimed Disney\/Pixar movie ‘Coco’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a number of events taking place this weekend, coinciding with Halloween, and this new State Holiday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
