Without objections, its likely that this resolution will have the same dates when ratified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-foreground-color has-custom-light-blue-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-d2411b326917981f1010117328a32b20 is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"border-radius:27px\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Dates for the October Regular Election<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Registration opens on the Saturday the 14th of September 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registrations close on Saturday the 21st of September 2024, Campaigning will then commence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Campaigning will finish when the voting booths open on Saturday the 5th of October 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Voting will close on the 9th of October at 8pm. Counting of the ballots by the San Andreas Electoral Commission will start and results will be reported.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Want to be a candidate? Familiarize yourself with the San Andreas Election Laws<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>H.R. 295, or <a href=\"https:\/\/newdayrp.com\/threads\/h-r-295-the-government-election-transparency-and-integrity-act.46145\/\">the Government Election Transparency and Integrity Act<\/a> has most of the information you need for this. Including the rules around campaigning and rules around donations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rest of the rules are contained in the constitution. It outlines the eligibility criteria for candidates. At least 18 years of age, a Citizen for at least one month and No Felony convictions within the past three months.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><strong>2. Party or Independent?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you going to run as a group? You might need to set up a registered Political Party. The definition is &#8220;A group of persons or an political organization, organized under a unified banner or title with candidates who seek election or are elected officials.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to organize a political party, you need to have that submitted before campaigning begins.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3.
