In a 5 – 0 decision, the Legislature has voted to convict Former Governor Ella Bright-Starr of their impeachment charges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Former Governor did not defend themselves in the closed impeachment trial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bright-Starr was convicted on two charges, one for violating Decorum in Office, the second being Dereliction of duties of the Office of Governor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ella Bright-Starr\u2019s decorum and actions while serving as Governor of San Andreas are not befitting of this States highest office, and any further mismanaging of the Government under her term only serves to affect the safety of the entire State. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having been found guilty on 1 count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, not guilty on 2 counts of false imprisonment, and not guilty on 2 counts of uttering threats, it puts a heavy burden on the State with the Governor being incarcerated following the trial.<\/p>\nH.R. 341 – Articles of Impeachment<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Governor Bright-Starr has been largely absent from her duties as Governor of San Andreas and because of that absence the communication partnership between State Departments and the Executive office has collapsed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With her most recent felony charge becoming a clear and evident distraction that has caused her to withdraw from her role as Governor, we as the State Legislature acknowledge it is our responsibility to the people of San Andreas to move forward with an impeachment hearing.<\/p>\nH.R. 341 – Articles of Impeachment<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The conviction brings an end to the Impeachment Process, about a month after Bright-Starr resigned from office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
